Food could be better, also good for the price

Unfortunately a mediocre experience at Het Raadhuis. Friendly service but the food could really be better. The herb butter was so hard, I think it came from the freezer. The 23 euro sea bass was just two thin fillets (describe it as sea bass fillet on...the card). The seasonal vegetables there was very little. The satay was adequate in quantity but seemed more cooked rather than nicely fried. When taking out the plates, it was not asked if it had tasted, because then I would certainly have reported that the sea bass had disappointed me. Not worth repeating for us, then there are other, better restaurants in Vreeswijk.More

Access assistance denied.

Today I wanted to have lunch with my mother and sister on the terrace of restaurant Het Raadhuis in Nieuwegein. As I have MS and am in a wheelchair my mum went through the front of the restaurant to ask if the staff could be equally helpful...when opening the gate of the terrace on the Lek side. Here the sun was shining and there were still tables free. Inside my mother was told that the table by the fence was occupied (it was) and they would not ask the guests sitting there to stand up and let us through so that we could also go to the terrace. Until recently this was never a problem and the staff always helped us with this. My mother also told me this, but the waitress was not going to ask the guests to make room for us so that we could also go to a table. This was a huge setback and we never expected this from this restaurant. We don't want to come back here!More

Nice viewpoint.

Made a coffee stop here during our walk of the Waterliniepad. Personal welcome and neat and friendly service. From the sunny terrace a beautiful view of the river Lek.

Very nice case but do something about the draft and cold

We have loved coming here for many years. Beautiful location and beautifully decorated place. The head waitress is a real professional woman, she knows how to keep the place running. Nice to see. It's a slightly nicer place and with slightly better...dishes than at an average good restaurant. The only thing we have noticed the last few times is that it is very cold. You feel a draft, but even without the draft it is really too cold. That's why we're not comfortable. Even after checking whether the door could be closed and this was done, you still felt a draft and cold. As if the space is too big and a separation is missing. Hopefully you can do something with this. We would love to come by often!More

Neat restaurant

We ate lunch in this very nice village as a stopover on the way to our final destination. Friendly service. Unfortunately no view of the Lek when you are inside. Well from the terrace outside. Very tasty bouncer eaten. The only downside is that there is no garnish at all on the...sign was present. This restaurant is highly recommended.More

Christmas menu 2020

Unfortunately, due to corona, it is not possible to visit this restaurant. That is why we made the choice to use the possibility offered by Brasserie Het Raadhuis to have the Christmas menu 2020 delivered at home. Using the supplied manual, the dishes were finished in...the oven. Apart from the fact that this was very nice to do, the menu consists of delicious sandwiches with herb butter, tuna takaki with sesame with pickled cucumber, waskame, wasabi mayonnaise, radish and ginger skins. Confit duck leg with green herb crust with róstie, celeriac puree, roasted beets and stewed pear. For dessert I opted for a delicious cheese board with different cheeses that are perfectly attuned to each other. Short summary of this: I enjoyed the perfectly matching flavors of the dishes. Recommended.More

Pure enjoyment.

Delicious mussels eaten with friends. I must say they were delicious in taste and good in size. So it is highly recommended to let the chefs spoil you culinary here. Service fast and hospitable. See you soon.

Don't understand previous reviews. Well organized and excellent food

No, I am not an employee of this restaurant but really do not understand the reviews below. We were greeted nicely, had to disinfect our hands and leave data. A group that had pushed the tables together on their own was kindly requested to put them back...and keep the distance. All this in a friendly and neat way. The food is good, I can just be brief about that. In short, a great meal and a top restaurant with a beautiful appearance.More

Mediocre

Came here by accident 2 weeks ago, just like the review below. Am this gentleman's table companion. The COVID / RIVM measures are not properly observed. We were allowed to disinfect our hands, but when registering for the contact form, things went wrong....We did not say anything about the food to the friendly staff, who unfortunately did not walk around much, but asked for the bill after our main course. 4 couples walked in that belonged together but of course didn't live together and they weren't placed 1.5 meters apart.. Max was 50 cm in between. The rice of the pokebowl was a bit too hard and the meat too far. But that in these times the guidelines are not being followed as they should be, it bothers us the most and is a reason not to visit this restaurant anymore.More

Bad, break the rules

Ended up here yesterday by accident.. Food was mediocre. Pokebowl the rice was still hard. Meat was overcooked. But what bothered us the most that they don't apply the COVID measures here, groups of friends were not 1.5 meters away, and together...at the table who did not come from 1 family. This is really not possible!!More
